Life is about being intentional. Being intentional makes life easier. As a mother of three daughters, I’m all about making my days go smoothly, even in the little things. In fact, it’s the small things that make the biggest difference. I’d like to share a few things that may make your day go by smoother without much work. Check it out!

We all lie down at night with the expectation to see morning. Prep for it then!

Wash out water bottles you will use for the next day. Lay out clothes that you plan to wear. Set your alarm. Get gas that night. Shower before bed instead of in the am to save time (you won’t get sweaty sleeping, I promise). Make sure the kids have put their homework in their backpacks.

Meal Prep

I cannot stress how much this will de-stress you. I’ve never met a person who said, “Yeah, I meal prepped this week and it was a total waste of time.” Not having to think about lunch (or dinner) for a week is a gift that keeps on giving.

Designate a day for laundry and stick to it.

I used to wash on random days, and it made me feel a bit scattered. Now my boyfriend and I alternate weekends for laundry, and I love it. I get a week off from laundry and like the flow. We both know what we have to do, and nothing needs to be discussed.

Make a grocery list.

This may seem like a common thing, but so many people come to the grocery store unprepared. We just need food, so we hop in the car and go. Simple enough. However, you spend less money and less time in the grocery store when you shop with a list. (Never shop on an empty stomach. If you’re like me, 1.2 million extra fat calories will somehow get into your shopping cart).

These are just a few things that can make a great impact on your day. Try them. They aren’t for everyone, do you, but whatever you do, be intentional about it. Your life is a series of days, so making every day better matters. – Kiki
